The three days of preseason testing are coming to an end, and beyond being fundamental for the start of a new Formula 1 season, they represent the first hopes of sports fans in any corner of the world.

After almost three months of winter break, with the cars off the track and silence reigning in Formula 1, the preseason tests mark the key moment: "It's time, Formula 1 is back." It is the first time that the cars are running again, that the drivers are reunited with their teams, and that the fans receive new content. But, above all, it is the return of excitement, expectation and impatience for the start of a new season.
And although the presentation events for the new liveries and cars are held before, nothing compares to the excitement of seeing a Formula 1 car at full speed on the track. Because, if you ask me, there is no feeling equal to knowing that the first race is just days away, that the teams are pushing their creation for this season to the limit, that the drivers are eager to compete again and that, as fans, we cannot wait one more day to enjoy the spectacle of battles that they give us on the track.
These three days, although short, leave expectations at the highest. They reveal details that we previously did not know about our teams' cars and also about those against whom the battle will be fought. Data, analysis, failures and tests make up the essence of these days, but for a fan, they are much more than that. It is the certainty that the wait is about to end, the illusion that its drivers have hope for a great season... or, in the worst case, the resignation of knowing that they are condemned to another year of suffering.
If you ask me, what's so entertaining about waiting so long just to watch cars spin around a track? Let me tell you, it's not just that. It's the roar of the engines, the excitement of knowing that the slightest mistake, whether by the driver, the car or even the team's strategy, can cost a championship. It is the adrenaline of seeing 20 pilots risk their lives to offer us one of the best shows in the world.
It is knowing that there are thousands, millions of people in every corner of the planet who, no matter the time whether early in the morning, in the middle of work, or late at night will wake up just to see their pilot and his team. Because it's not just 20 cars going around a circuit. They are the hope and faith that each fan places in their team, they are those emotional fibers that this sport is capable of touching in people, and they are those tears and smiles, of joy or defeat, that are born with each race.
There are only three days of testing that, for many, may seem boring. After all, they don't tell us for sure what the competition will be like in the season, as each team tries different configurations, upgrades, and strategies. However, despite all the uncertainty, these days mean the same thing for everyone: the wait is coming to an end. In just a few days, we will be hearing those words that mark the beginning of the excitement: Lights out and away we go!
